Friday, October 27, 2006, Dharamsala. (Day 2 of the workshops)

Because I have caught a sore throat, I take the Rickshaw to TCV. Half way up, the engine quits. We wait in the middle of the road and the driver takes a bottle of petrol from underneath his seat to fill up the tank at the back.

The engine starts again, but quickly quits again. This time the driver opens the back of the Rickshaw and I hear some click. Anyway, we now drive al the way to the entrance of the TCV.

In front of a vendor, I meet Yahel, the CTO van TCV. He has ordered his breakfast and treats me with an other tea. After some time we have a group drinking tea and having breakfast.

We follow the training in making a business plan and doe a SWOT analysis for a Community Network from one of the many places where our teacher, Laura Drewit, has assisted in organizing their business plans.

However at around 4 PM we are only with 3 man and the teacher in the room, one of the three leaving tomorrow. We decide to bring this up in the plenary meeting tomorrow and do a poll.

The lack of interest for the business case is a bit frustrating because all initiatives that fell apart or went bankrupt were missing such a plan.

In the afternoon Frieder Bronner of the FreiFunk in Berlin takes an interview.

At the end of the day, Vikramm Chrishna from Bombay takes my third interview.

It is dark and unsafe to walk home. So I take an other Rickshaw.
